David Gustafson, Change Management Consultant and Professional Coach, MHA, MA
David is an executive and organization coach, organizational development consultant and facilitator with extensive experience in the healthcare, non-profit, government and other industries. As both an internal and external consultant he has worked with a wide variety of organization levels, ranging from frontline supervisors to the CEO level with world class organizations. In his most recent role, Change Management Senior Consultant for the Kaiser Permanente KP HealthConnect Inpatient Project, he led the largest non-government change management process in the nation’s history.
In addition to consulting, David has a passion for mentoring. During his graduate studies at Sonoma State University, he wrote his Master’s thesis on the topic of mentoring. He currently has two mentors himself and is mentoring two other men in various areas. He designed and coordinates a mentoring program for a local non-profit, and has trained dozens of mentors and mentees in their respective roles.
David and his wife, Sue, have two grown children. They live on Four Oaks Farm, a sheep farm, off the Gravenstein Highway outside of Sebastopol. After a 21 year career in the U.S. Navy, largely in healthcare administration, David and Sue settled in Sonoma County in 1990.
David is a graduate of San Jose State University, Duke University, and Sonoma State University. He is an active member of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), the national Organization Development Network (ODN), and the Bay Area Organization Development Network (BAODN.)
